₹120 Cr AP–TG Rights: Yash’s Toxic Creates History as Dil Raju’s SVC Locks Biggest-Ever Non-Telugu Deal

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has made an emphatic entry into the record books—even before hitting theatres. In a move that has taken the trade by surprise, Sri Venkateswara Creations, headed by Dil Raju, has secured the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana theatrical rights for an astounding ₹120 crore (advance on commission basis). This officially stands as the highest-ever AP–TG acquisition for a non-Telugu-origin film.
The deal, finalized between the film’s producers—KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations—and SVC, underscores the extraordinary confidence the industry has in the project’s scale, star power, and theatrical strength. With multiple major distributors aggressively competing for the rights, SVC ultimately emerged on top, closing what is already being termed one of the most consequential distribution agreements in recent Indian cinema.
Led by Yash, Toxic represents the growing reality of true pan-Indian stardom—where language barriers dissolve in the face of audience connection and cinematic ambition. The film has generated remarkable anticipation from its earliest stages, reflected in widespread fan engagement, strong on-ground buzz, and mounting interest from territories far beyond AP and Telangana.
In the Telugu states, Yash enjoys a uniquely deep connection with audiences, who have been eagerly awaiting his next big-screen appearance since KGF Chapter 2. That anticipation is now translating into exceptional pre-release momentum, reinforcing the film’s powerful market positioning.
Speaking about the acquisition, Dil Raju stated that Yash’s stature in Indian cinema has only expanded globally after KGF 2, with expectations around his next film steadily building over the past four years. Expressing enthusiasm, he noted that SVC is proud to present such a prestigious project and looks forward to further collaborations with the star in the future.
The association with Sri Venkateswara Creations further elevates Toxic’s standing. Known for its legacy of National Award–winning films and multiple blockbusters, the banner’s involvement signals strong faith in the film’s content, vision, and box-office longevity, particularly in the cinema-loving AP–TG market—one of the most influential theatrical regions in India.
For moviegoers, this partnership promises wide theatrical penetration, large-scale promotions, and a grand cinematic experience designed for the big screen.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been simultaneously filmed in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and additional languages—highlighting its global outlook.
The film features a high-calibre technical team, including National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composer Ravi Basrur, editor Ujwal Kulkarni, and production designer TP Abid. Action sequences are mounted on a massive scale, choreographed by Hollywood stunt director JJ Perry (John Wick), alongside acclaimed action directors Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, strategically timed with Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa, positioning it as one of the biggest cinematic events of the year.
