Shah Rukh Khan to Team Up with Pushpa Director Sukumar for a Rural Political Action Drama

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in talks with Pushpa director Sukumar for an exciting new project. After successful collaborations with Mani Ratnam and Atlee, SRK seems to be exploring yet another unique cinematic venture with a South Indian filmmaker.

SRK as an Anti-Hero in a Rural Action Drama?

Initial reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan and Sukumar were planning a dark psychological thriller, but new buzz indicates a completely different direction. According to sources, the film will be a rural political action drama, showcasing SRK in a rugged, massy avatar like never before. His character will have grey shades, adding to the intensity of the film.

“This project will blend SRK’s raw, desi appeal with his global superstar status, while also addressing social issues like caste and class oppression,” an insider told Mid-Day.

A Long Wait for Fans?

While the news is exciting, fans may have to wait before this collaboration takes shape. Both Sukumar and Shah Rukh Khan are currently busy with multiple commitments. Sukumar has RC 17 with Ram Charan, Pushpa 3: The Rampage, and a romantic drama starring Ram in the pipeline. Meanwhile, SRK is gearing up for King, which starts filming in May, followed by Pathaan 2.

With SRK reportedly telling filmmakers that he won’t be available for new projects for the next two years, this collaboration may take time—but when it happens, it’s bound to be a cinematic spectacle.
