After months of anticipation, Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, has officially wrapped up filming. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj took to social media to share the news, along with a heartfelt message and a collection of behind-the-scenes images from the set.
In his post, Lokesh wrote, “IT’S A WRAP FOR #COOLIE. What an incredible experience it has been traveling with Rajinikanth sir, Nagarjuna sir, Upendra Rao sir, Sathyaraj sir, Soubin Shahir sir, Shruti Haasan, and the entire team. Will forever cherish this amazing experience.”
The post featured moments from the film’s final shoot, including a celebratory cake-cutting session with Rajinikanth, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Reba Monica John. Prior to this, the film’s production team had also released a special behind-the-scenes promo video announcing the completion of filming.
An Action Spectacle in the Making
Though the makers have yet to reveal an official synopsis, Coolie is rumored to be a high-octane action thriller, with Rajinikanth taking on a character that reportedly carries shades of grey. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao in pivotal roles. Adding to the excitement, Bollywood star Aamir Khan is set to make a cameo appearance, while Pooja Hegde will feature in a special dance number.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is gearing up for Jailer 2, the sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film will see Rajinikanth reprising his role as the formidable “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian. Fans can expect an even more intense and action-packed storyline as the sequel expands on its predecessor’s narrative.
