Kyle Paul on His Experience Filming Yash’s Toxic – “The Best I’ve Ever Had on Set”

American actor Kyle Paul recently took to social media to reflect on his experience working in the much-anticipated action thriller Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-ups, starring Rocking Star Yash. Playing a supporting role in the film, Paul described the shoot as the most rewarding experience of his career, particularly highlighting the challenges of performing in an unfamiliar language.
Sharing his thoughts in a video, Paul revealed the struggle of delivering an intense emotional scene in Kannada, a language he had never spoken before.
“It was around 3 AM, and I had to deliver this really emotional scene,” he explained. “But the catch was, I had to speak Kannada. I had to keep up the high emotions while making sure I got the words right, and my brain just wasn’t cooperating. I couldn’t do both at the same time!”
Despite the difficulty, Paul credited director Geetu Mohandas for helping him push through. “Geetu is just incredible. Every time I messed up, she’d say, ‘You got this! Take your time, we’re here for you.’ Her support made all the difference, and it turned out to be the best experience I’ve ever had on set.”
A high-octane cinematic spectacle, Toxic is making waves not only for its action-packed narrative but also for its groundbreaking approach to storytelling. It is the first large-scale Indian film to be simultaneously conceptualized, written, and filmed in both Kannada and English, serving as a cultural bridge between Indian cinema and global audiences. The film will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several international languages, further expanding its reach.
Jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups is set to redefine the action genre by blending Hollywood-style precision with the raw intensity of Indian storytelling. With its ambitious vision and global appeal, Toxic is poised to put Kannada cinema on the world map like never before.
