Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ Sneak Peek Unleashed with Anirudh’s Explosive Track — Gears Up for August 14 Release

Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to roar back on the big screen with his much-anticipated action drama ‘Coolie’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. As the film marks the 100-day countdown to its theatrical release on August 14, 2025, the makers have dropped a fiery sneak peek that has already ignited fan frenzy.

Sharing the teaser promo on social media, the creators captioned it with high energy:
“Arangam Adhirattume, Whistle Parakkattume! #CoolieIn100Days. #Coolie worldwide from August 14th.”

Set to a pulsating track by Anirudh Ravichander, the preview—rumored to be from a number titled Coolie Powerhouse—offers a stylized glimpse of the ensemble cast, showing back-profile shots of Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir. The combination of thunderous beats and star power has fans raving across platforms.

Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is expected to deliver a high-octane cinematic experience. In a recent YouTube interaction, Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the music and background score, shared that he had watched most of the film and called it “ominous and super,” hinting at a darker tone than usual.

While many of Lokesh’s past works tie into his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), Coolie is said to be a standalone project, featuring Rajinikanth in a never-seen-before intense, possibly grey-shaded avatar.

The film boasts a powerful cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and many others. Adding to the excitement, Aamir Khan is also expected to make a special cameo appearance.

Coolie is all set for a grand worldwide release on August 14, 2025, perfectly timed with the Independence Day holiday weekend. However, it will face a major box office clash with the highly awaited War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will also be seen in the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, titled Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Reports suggest that Nandamuri Balakrishna might appear in a cameo, alongside notable actors like Fahadh Faasil and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
