“It’s a dream come true to work with Geetha Arts. I’ve always wanted to be part of their banner. Thankfully, this opportunity came my way in a genre I’m 100% confident in. Doing it with Geetha Arts makes me very, very happy.”

On Director Karthik Raju:

“I’ve been associated with Karthik Raju for two years. We made this film with a fantastic team. I genuinely hope everyone enjoys it and laughs wholeheartedly.”

On the response so far:

“The teaser, trailer, and songs have received a fantastic response. Promotions are going very positively. I see it as a team effort.”

When asked how he felt after seeing the final output compared to when the director first narrated the story:

“When I first heard the story, I believed it would be a solid entertainer. After watching the final cut, I felt it’s an even bigger entertainer than expected.”

About the film’s title Single despite having two heroines:

“The climax is very fresh and will be loved by everyone. My character, Vennela Kishore’s role, and the two heroines’ characters are all enjoyable and well-written. The climax is especially unique and entertaining.”

On shooting in Hyderabad:

“We shot the entire film in Hyderabad and showcased the city in a completely new light. No one has presented Hyderabad this freshly in recent times. We captured some of the best moments on screen.”

On Vennela Kishore’s role:

“Without either of our characters, this movie wouldn’t exist. After Kishore garu came on board, we were fully convinced to go ahead with the project.”

On his character transformation approach:

“I enjoy every character I play. I spend a lot of time with the director, and that journey helps me understand the role deeply. On set, I gain more command over the character.”

On his unique dialogue delivery style:

“Especially the youth enjoy my distinct dialogue diction. I take special care to keep it entertaining. My goal is always to make audiences laugh.”

On producer support:

“They provided complete comfort during the shoot and took great care during post-production. Their experience made everything smooth.”

On presenting a new body language:

“Yes, this is a love story, and the freshness of that love reflects in my body language. Compared to my past films, audiences will see a different version of me here.”

On the music by Vishal Chandrashekhar:

“The movie has high energy, and Vishal’s music matches it perfectly. The songs are energetic, and the background score is very innovative.”

On the cinematography by Velraj:

“Velraj garu has done superb cinematography. He captured Hyderabad beautifully, and audiences will witness a fresh visual experience on screen.”

On evolving his style:

“I’ve been in the industry for 16 years, and I feel I’ve never bored the audience. The industry is going through big changes. A new generation of kids is coming up, and I’m ready for that shift. I continue to give my best in every role.”

On the reception of Swag:

“Since Swag came after fun films like Samajavaragamana and Om Bheem Bush, audiences expected another full comedy. We couldn’t set the right expectations about the content, and that led to some confusion. While some viewers were disappointed, those looking for different content really liked it. It received strong applause after its television premiere. I believe in trying new things, even if they don’t always work.”

Upcoming projects:

“I’m working on a thriller titled Mrityunjaya. There’s also a family entertainer and another film set against a forest backdrop.”
