Ram Charan’s PEDDI Enters Major Filming Phase on Massive Village Set in Hyderabad

The much-anticipated pan-India film PEDDI, headlined by Global Star Ram Charan, has entered a significant production phase, with an extended schedule now underway in a specially constructed village set in Hyderabad. Following the overwhelming response to the film’s first glimpse, all eyes are on this high-octane rural drama, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana.
Bringing together an ensemble of powerhouse talent, PEDDI is being produced on a grand scale by Venkata Satish Kilaru under his banner Vriddhi Cinemas, and is being presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. With nearly 30% of the shoot already wrapped up, the team is now filming crucial scenes, including an adrenaline-charged action sequence and key dramatic portions, in an elaborately designed village backdrop.
Celebrating Hanuman Jayanti with updates from the set, Ram Charan shared cheerful BTS images alongside co-star Divyendu Sharma and director Buchi Babu Sana. Captioning it with, “Happy Hanuman Jayanthi. Smiles, discussions, and hard work in full swing for our action-packed schedule,” the actor gave fans a peek into the film’s vibrant energy on set.
Art director Avinash Kolla and his crew have created an immersive rural world for the film, capturing the raw and rustic tone PEDDI aims to deliver. From atmosphere to authenticity, the scale of the production is evident in every detail.
Ram Charan’s rugged transformation for the role—with long locks, a thick beard, and a striking nose ring—has already created buzz, revealing a powerful new side to the actor. Janhvi Kapoor stars opposite him, while the stellar supporting cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma.
Backed by an elite technical crew, PEDDI boasts cinematography by R Rathnavelu, a soul-stirring score by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, and editing by National Award-winner Navin Nooli. The film’s production design, overseen by Avinash Kolla, sets the tone for what promises to be an intense, emotional, and action-packed cinematic experience.
Scheduled for a grand worldwide release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday, PEDDI is gearing up to be one of Indian cinema’s most anticipated releases.
