“Kannappa in Crisis: Stolen Hard Drive Jeopardizes Release, Makers Allege Sabotage”

The upcoming mythological epic Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, has encountered a significant setback just a month before its scheduled release on June 27, 2025. A hard drive containing crucial footage, including a pivotal action sequence and essential visual effects (VFX) work, was reportedly stolen during transit from Hive Studios in Mumbai to the production office of 24 Frames Factory in Hyderabad.

According to an official statement from 24 Frames Factory, the package was unlawfully intercepted and signed for by an individual named Mr. Raghu, who acted under the instructions of a woman named Charita. The production house clarified that neither individual is affiliated with their company, labeling the act as impersonation and theft. A police complaint was filed nearly four weeks ago, and authorities have been briefed on the identities of those involved.

Further complicating matters, the production house alleges that the perpetrators are planning to leak over 90 minutes of unreleased footage online in an attempt to sabotage the film’s release. In response, the matter has been escalated to cybercrime authorities for swift action.

Kannappa boasts a star-studded cast, including Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, with appearances by Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, Prabhas, and Akshay Kumar. The film has been generating significant buzz for its grand visuals and ensemble cast.

The production team has urged the public and media not to support or circulate any pirated content should it surface online, emphasizing the collective effort and dedication invested in bringing Kannappa to the big screen.

As investigations continue, the film industry and fans alike await further developments, hoping for a resolution that will allow Kannappa to proceed with its planned release.
