Tollywood Mourns the Loss of Director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary

The Telugu film industry is grieving the untimely demise of noted filmmaker AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary, who passed away on Tuesday night due to a suspected heart attack. He had reportedly been battling health complications in recent times.
AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary carved a unique space for himself in Tollywood with a mix of commercial entertainers and emotional dramas. He made a striking debut with “Yagnam” featuring Gopichand, which not only resonated well with audiences but also established him as a promising director in the industry.
His filmography includes collaborations with several well-known stars. He directed “Veerabhadra” with Nandamuri Balakrishna and played a crucial role in launching Sai Dharam Tej‘s career with “Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham”, a film that was both a critical and commercial success. Other notable projects under his direction include “Soukhyam”, “Aatadistha”, and several others that contributed to his identity as a mass-appeal director.
Despite facing ups and downs at the box office, many of Ravi Kumar’s films remain beloved by fans, especially for their catchy soundtracks and emotional depth. His last directorial project was “Tiragabadara Swamy”, with actor Raj Tarun in the lead.
It is reported that the director had been living alone for some time. He is survived by his wife and children, who are now mourning the loss of a beloved husband and father.
