Sharwanand–Sampath Nandi’s Period Epic ‘Bhogi’ Kicks Off Grand Hyderabad Shoot

The much-talked-about pan-India film Bhogi, starring Sharwanand and directed by mass filmmaker Sampath Nandi, has entered a decisive stage of production. The team has begun an extensive shooting schedule today in Hyderabad, where a large-scale, specially erected set has been designed exclusively for the film.

Backed by KK Radha Mohan under the banner Sri Sathya Sai Arts, with Lakshmi Radha Mohan presenting, Bhogi is being mounted as a high-value cinematic venture with ambitious scale and vision.

A Period Drama Rooted in the 1960s

Set in the 1960s, the film unfolds across the rustic landscapes of North Telangana and the Maharashtra border regions. With its period backdrop, Bhogi aims to deliver a raw yet stylized narrative packed with intense emotions, grounded drama, and powerful action.

Anticipation around the project surged following the release of its “First Spark” concept glimpse, which drew strong appreciation for its striking visuals and immersive tone, offering a hint of the world the filmmakers are building.

Inside the Ongoing Shoot

The current schedule focuses on key dialogue-driven sequences featuring the principal cast. The Hyderabad set recreates the era with meticulous detail, serving as a crucial setting for major story developments.

Sharwanand is said to be undergoing a remarkable transformation, stepping into a role unlike anything he has portrayed before. From appearance to character depth, the actor’s new avatar is expected to be one of the film’s biggest highlights.

Strong Ensemble & Skilled Technical Team

Joining Sharwanand are Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi as the female leads. Elevating the film’s scale is a seasoned technical crew, with Bheems Ceciroleo composing the music, Kishore Kumar handling cinematography, and Kiran Kumar Manne leading the production design to authentically recreate the 1960s atmosphere.

Multi-Language Grand Release Planned

Designed for a wide audience, Bhogi is planned for a pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. With its period setting, robust storytelling, and high production standards, the film is positioned to offer a technically rich and visually immersive theatrical experience.
