Bhogi Action Schedule Commences: Sharwa & Sampath Nandi Mount Grand 1960s Pan-India Epic

Actor Sharwanand (fondly called Sharwa) has teamed up for the first time with filmmaker Sampath Nandi for the ambitious pan-India period action drama Bhogi. The film is produced by KK Radhamohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts and presented by Lakshmi Radhamohan, mounted on a notably expansive canvas.

After unveiling the evocative concept video “First Spark,” which set the tone with a fiery introduction to the film’s world, the team has now kicked off a high-intensity action schedule in Hyderabad.

Massive Set, Major Action Blocks

Following the completion of an earlier talkie schedule, the unit has moved into a crucial phase of shooting on a specially constructed large-scale set. This leg features two elaborate action sequences choreographed by acclaimed stunt director Dilip Subbarayan. Sharwanand is set to shoot continuously through this schedule, underscoring the scale and commitment behind the project.

A monochrome still released from the sets captures Sharwanand gripping a hammer over his shoulder, surrounded by smoke and grit—an image that reflects the film’s rugged and intense tonality. Director Sampath Nandi and Dilip Subbarayan are also seen in the frame, hinting at the action-driven core of the narrative.

A Story Rooted in the 1960s

Set against the turbulent socio-cultural landscape of the 1960s, Bhogi explores themes of conflict, resilience, and emotional upheaval. Sampath Nandi has crafted a narrative grounded in rustic authenticity while promising larger-than-life cinematic moments.

This film marks one of Sharwanand’s most daring transformations to date, with the actor undergoing a significant makeover for what is being described as the most expensive project of his career.

Cast & Technical Brilliance

The film stars Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi as the female leads, playing pivotal roles that blend strength and grace.

On the technical front:

  • Art Direction: Kiran Kumar Manne
  • Cinematography: Kishore Kumar Arokia
  • Music: Bheems Ceciroleo

The film’s production design and visual detailing aim to authentically recreate the vintage era, giving audiences an immersive theatrical experience.

Pan-India Ambitions

Bhogi is being prepared for a grand multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, positioning it as a major cross-regional spectacle.

With its scale, period setting, and intense action canvas, Bhogi is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated ventures in Sharwanand’s career.
