“A Film That Feels Like a Festival”: Anaganaga Oka Raju Promises Full-On Sankranthi Entertainment

Releasing amid strong buzz this Sankranthi, Anaganaga Oka Raju is positioned as a complete festive entertainer aimed at family audiences. Headlined by Star Entertainer Naveen Polishetty, who has earned massive popularity with consecutive blockbusters, the film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting. Directed by debutant Maari, the film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, with music composed by Mickey J Meyer.

From its first announcement, the film’s promotional material stood out for its freshness and festive tone. The recently released trailer further amplified expectations, striking a strong chord with audiences across age groups. As the film prepares for its theatrical arrival on January 14, 2026, the team interacted with the media at a pre-release press meet, sharing their confidence and excitement.

Speaking at the event, Naveen Polishetty described the film as an extension of the Sankranthi spirit itself. He shared that Sankranthi is a festival where people momentarily forget life’s pressures, come together with loved ones, laugh freely, and enjoy simple joys. He said the same emotion runs through Anaganaga Oka Raju, which is designed to relieve stress and deliver pure laughter. He added that the overwhelming response to the trailer and the viral comedy moments boosted the team’s confidence. According to him, advance bookings — especially overseas — have already surpassed the opening figures of his earlier films, and the movie will live up to the expectations.

Meenakshi Chaudhary expressed her excitement, saying the entire team put in sincere effort to deliver a feel-good film. She said audiences can expect continuous entertainment and urged families to watch the film together and celebrate Sankranthi with laughter.

Director Maari stated that the film has shaped up exactly as intended — a clean, joyful festival entertainer. He emphasized that Sankranthi is an emotion for Telugu audiences and said the film is meant to be enjoyed stress-free, with families spending quality time in theatres for over two hours of laughter and warmth.

Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi revealed that the story is set against a Godavari backdrop, blending Naveen Polishetty’s signature humor with rural flavor. He mentioned that the film includes an interesting political satire episode, plenty of comedy, songs, action, and an emotionally satisfying climax — making it a wholesome festival package.

Child actor Revanth, who appears in both halves of the film, thanked the producers and the lead actor for the opportunity and assured audiences that his role would add to the fun and laughter.

With its festive backdrop, strong comedy, emotional moments, and family-friendly appeal, Anaganaga Oka Raju is gearing up to be a joyful Sankranthi celebration on the big screen.
