The Tamil film industry has been shaken by the arrest of actor Sreeram in a high-profile drug case. Known to both Tamil and Telugu audiences, Sreeram was taken into custody by the Chennai Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU) earlier today, following significant leads in an ongoing narcotics investigation.

According to police sources, Sreeram’s name surfaced during the interrogation of suspects previously arrested in the case. Investigators allege that the actor sourced narcotics, including cocaine, from a former DMK leader.
