Ajay Devgn and Son Yug Devgan Team Up for Hindi Dub of Karate Kid: Legends, Hitting Theatres May 30

In a heartwarming first, Ajay Devgn and his son Yug Devgan are joining forces for an iconic project — the Hindi version of Karate Kid: Legends, releasing in cinemas across India on May 30, 2025. The film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, courtesy of Sony Pictures Entertainment India.

Marking his debut in voice acting for an international film, Ajay Devgn steps into the role of the wise and formidable Mr. Han, originally played by Jackie Chan. Meanwhile, young Yug Devgan makes his voice acting debut as Li Fong, the central character portrayed by Ben Wang in the original version.

This collaboration is not only a cinematic milestone for the father-son duo but also brings added emotional depth to the film’s central narrative — the bond between a mentor and his student. Yug’s youthful voice and enthusiasm for the Karate Kid franchise breathe fresh energy into the character, while Ajay’s seasoned presence brings gravitas to the legendary Mr. Han.

Set in New York City, Karate Kid: Legends follows the journey of Li Fong, a kung fu prodigy trying to adapt to life at a new school while dealing with rivalries and finding his place. Guided by his mentor Mr. Han and the iconic Daniel LaRusso (played by Ralph Macchio), Li embarks on a transformative path filled with challenges, discipline, and self-growth.

The casting of Ajay and Yug Devgan captures the spirit of legacy and mentorship — mirroring the themes at the heart of the Karate Kid saga. Their real-life relationship enhances the on-screen story, offering Indian audiences a unique and touching experience.
