Allu Arjun Sparks Pushpa Fever in Japan as Pushpa 2 Prepares for Grand Release as Pushpa Kunrin

Icon Star Allu Arjun is taking the Pushpa phenomenon beyond borders once again, as his industry-defining blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule gears up for a high-profile release in Japan. The film is set to arrive in Japanese theatres on January 16, where it will be released under the title Pushpa Kunrin.
After creating historic waves at the Indian box office and turning into a pop-culture sensation, Pushpa 2 is now ready to connect with Japanese audiences. Interestingly, the film already shares a unique cultural link with Japan, featuring a striking entry fight sequence set in the country, during which Allu Arjun delivers Japanese dialogues—an element that has generated strong curiosity overseas.
Ahead of the Japanese release, Allu Arjun landed in Tokyo along with his family to personally promote the film. The star shared a glimpse of his visit on social media, posting a picture against Tokyo’s stunning skyline with a simple caption, instantly drawing attention from fans across countries.
For the Japanese rollout, Geek Pictures and Shochiku have joined hands with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, aiming to replicate the film’s massive success on international screens. Given Japan’s growing interest in large-scale Indian action entertainers, expectations are high for Pushpa Kunrin to make a strong impact.
The film will have special premieres on January 15, 2026, a day ahead of its official release. Directed by Sukumar, the movie features chart-topping music by Devi Sri Prasad. Alongside Allu Arjun, the cast includes Fahadh Faasil in a powerful police role and Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar.
With Pushpa 2 now stepping onto Japanese screens, Allu Arjun’s global appeal and the film’s cross-cultural resonance are set to reach an all-new audience, proving once again that Pushpa is not just a film—it’s a movement.
