Coolie Now Streaming on Prime Video in 4 South Indian Languages
The much-talked-about action entertainer Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has officially made its way to Amazon Prime Video. The film is now available for streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, giving South Indian audiences the chance to relive the big-screen spectacle from their homes.
A Landmark Collaboration
Coolie created enormous excitement before its release, as it marked the first collaboration between Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj. The star-studded cast, including Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, and Sathyaraj, added even more hype to the project.
The film released in theatres on August 14, 2025, clashing with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2. While the movie received mixed reviews from audiences, it sustained a solid run in cinemas for 25 days before arriving on OTT.
Streaming and Availability
Currently, Coolie is streaming in four South Indian languages—Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam—on Prime Video. However, the Hindi version has not yet been released and will only premiere after completing the standard 8-week theatrical-to-OTT window.
Cast and Crew
Alongside Rajinikanth, the film also stars Shruti Haasan, Rachita Ram, Kanna Ravi, Maaran, Pooja Hegde (special appearance in the Monica song), and Reba Monica John in key roles. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose background score and songs were a major highlight.
With its OTT premiere, it will be interesting to see how digital audiences respond to Rajinikanth’s Coolie, especially after its theatrical run with mixed reception.
