Devara 2 Officially Announced: Jr NTR and Koratala Siva Return for the Sequel
The wait is over! The makers have officially confirmed the sequel to Jr NTR’s blockbuster Devara, putting an end to speculations about the project being shelved. Marking the one-year anniversary of the first film’s release, Yuvasudha Arts unveiled a striking poster announcing Devara 2.

The announcement came through Yuvasudha Arts’ X (formerly Twitter) handle, where the team shared a powerful poster featuring Jr NTR in his Devara avatar, staring directly at the audience with fierce intensity. Alongside the poster, the caption read:

Koratala Siva and Anirudh Return
The sequel will once again be helmed by Koratala Siva, continuing his collaboration with Jr NTR. Adding to the excitement, Anirudh Ravichander is set to compose the music for Devara 2, following his impactful score for the first part.
Devara Part 1: The Journey So Far
Released on September 27, 2024, the first installment of Devara opened to mixed reviews but went on to collect an impressive ₹400 crore gross worldwide. The movie ended with a cliffhanger, leaving audiences with burning questions reminiscent of the suspense created in Baahubali. That unanswered twist has now paved the way for Devara 2, heightening expectations.
Rumours Put to Rest
For months, there were strong rumours about the sequel being shelved, causing concern among fans. However, this official confirmation has dismissed all doubts. Earlier, Jr NTR had revealed that he asked Koratala Siva to take a short break after the intense schedule of Part 1, saying:
“This is my gift. I told him to take a month or so away from Hyderabad, just relax, re-energize, and then return fresh. Once back, we can start writing for Devara 2 with renewed focus and clarity.”
