Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Celebrate the Launch of ‘Pi Pi Dum Dum’ Song from Kubera

A Special Film with Unforgettable Performances, Says the Team Ahead of June 20 Release
The highly anticipated pan-India film Kubera, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, is generating immense buzz with every promotional release. The film stars Superstar Dhanush, King Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles, and is poised to be a game-changer in Indian cinema.
During a grand event held in Mumbai, the makers launched the foot-tapping track ‘Pi Pi Dum Dum’, which follows the sensational success of the previous tracks ‘Poiyera Mama’ and ‘Trance of Kubera’, both of which are topping music charts.
Dhanush: “Kubera is a Very Special Film”
Speaking at the song launch event, Dhanush shared,
“Kubera is a very special and different film for me. It’s close to my heart. The entire shooting experience was fantastic, and working with Nagarjuna sir was a great joy. The whole team was very positive, and it was an honor to be part of such a collaboration.
I played a beggar in this movie — and no, I won’t say I did a lot of research or homework (laughs). I just followed Sekhar sir. He’s a brilliant director and a very pure-hearted person. I accepted this film right after he narrated the story to me in just 20 minutes — his energy was infectious.
One of the memorable moments was shooting with Rashmika in a dump yard for seven straight hours. I was concerned, but she casually said, ‘I don’t smell anything!’ I’m still wondering how that’s possible (laughs). Kubera gave me a lot of beautiful memories. I’m sure the audience will love it when it releases on June 20.”
Nagarjuna: “Sekhar Kammula Made Me Say Yes Instantly”
Nagarjuna, who also plays a key role, said,
“Thank you all for the love. From Shiva to Criminal, Telugu audiences have always supported me with open arms. Even my dubbed films were received wonderfully.
Kubera is a special film. I’ve wanted to work with Sekhar for 15 years, and when he came to me with this story, I immediately said yes. His storytelling is very sensitive and heartfelt. What he feels in his heart is what we see on screen.
Working with Jim Sarbh was also a great experience — he spoke Telugu fluently and performed brilliantly. Rashmika is a powerhouse of talent. I called her after watching the dubbing and praised her performance. Dhanush, as always, brings something fresh to the table. His performance in Kubera is outstanding.
And Devi Sri Prasad—he’s my favorite music director. His music has elevated the film to another level. I hope everyone watches and enjoys Kubera on June 20.”
Rashmika Mandanna: “My Role Will Surprise Everyone”
Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the female lead, said,
“As an actor, Kubera was an eye-opening experience for me. Everything was shot in real locations. Working with Nagarjuna sir and Dhanush sir was amazing. Sekhar sir is such a gentle and brilliant director.
My character in this film is very surprising. I’m eagerly waiting to see how the audience reacts. Just like my past roles — Geetanjali, Srivalli, and Maharani Yesubai — this one too will be remembered for a long time.”
Jim Sarbh: “It Was a Challenge, But Worth It”
Actor Jim Sarbh, who also plays an important role, shared,
“Most of my scenes are with Nagarjuna sir, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with him. He made the environment so relaxed. I delivered all my dialogues in Telugu for this film — it was challenging, but very rewarding.
Sekhar sir’s vision for my character was fascinating, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. Kubera is a wonderful film, and I believe audiences will truly enjoy it.”
