Japan Welcomes Pushpa 2: The Rule — Allu Arjun’s Blockbuster Arrives January 16, 2026 as “Pushpa Kunrin”

The international buzz around Icon Star Allu Arjun continues to skyrocket as Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, prepares for a grand release in Japan. In a major global expansion, Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings have partnered with Japanese distributors Geek Pictures and Shochiku to bring the film to cinemas across Japan. The film will release on January 16, 2026, under the title Pushpa Kunrin.

A Warm Greeting to Japanese Fans

The announcement began with a heartfelt message in Japanese — “Konnichiwa, Nihon no Tomo yo” (Hello, friends of Japan). Alongside the announcement, the makers unveiled a special Japanese-dubbed trailer and striking new posters showcasing Allu Arjun as the unstoppable Pushpa Raj.

A Global Phenomenon Continues

Originally released on December 5, 2024 in five Indian languages, Pushpa 2 shattered records and has already been hailed as an industry hit. The film is the explosive sequel to the worldwide blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.

Reports earlier hinted that Sukumar intended to give the sequel an international touch, crafting scenes designed to appeal to audiences beyond India—and the Japanese release marks a major step in that vision.

Despite receiving global appreciation, Allu Arjun has repeatedly credited his success to Sukumar, saying the entire victory belongs to one man—a testament to the director’s creative brilliance.
