Maragadha Mani 2 Launched with Grand Pooja in Chennai; Fantasy Comedy Franchise Returns

The much-loved fantasy comedy Maragadha Mani is set to continue its magical journey as Maragadha Mani 2 officially went on floors. After the first film’s successful run and cult following for its blend of adventure, humor, and fantasy, the sequel has now begun production amid high expectations.

The shoot commenced on February 16, 2026, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, with a traditional pooja ceremony held in Chennai. The launch event witnessed the presence of leading stars and filmmakers. Actor Karthi gave the ceremonial clap for the first shot, while actor Arya and filmmaker Venkat Prabhu marked the beginning of the shoot with the customary “Camera… Action!” moment, adding a celebratory vibe to the occasion. Several industry personalities associated with Axess Film Factory also attended the event.
