Missing for 27 Years: Man Reunited with Family at Maha Kumbh as Aghori Baba

In an extraordinary turn of events, a family from Jharkhand has been reunited with their long-lost husband and father at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj after 27 years of separation. However, the reunion was bittersweet, as they found him transformed into an aghori baba, having renounced all worldly attachments.

Gangasagar Yadav went missing in 1998 after traveling to Patna. Despite extensive searches, his family had lost hope of ever finding him. His wife, Dhanwa Devi, was left to raise their two sons alone, enduring years of uncertainty and grief.

Fate intervened during the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela when a relative spotted an aghori baba who bore a striking resemblance to Gangasagar. The family rushed to Prayagraj, where they were stunned to find the baba, now known as Rajkumar Baba, who they believe is indeed their missing loved one.

However, Rajkumar Baba denies any connection to his past life and claims to be from Varanasi. Despite his denial, the family insists that he is Gangasagar, citing physical similarities, including distinctive injury marks and scars.

To resolve the matter and confirm his identity, the family has requested a DNA test. They are determined to uncover the truth and, if confirmed, are prepared to take legal action to re-establish their relationship with him.

This extraordinary story has captured the attention of people across India, highlighting the enduring power of family bonds and the unexpected twists that life can take. It also sheds light on the aghori tradition, a reclusive sect of ascetics who renounce worldly life and engage in post-mortem rituals.

While the family awaits the results of the DNA test, they remain hopeful that this reunion, however unconventional, will bring some closure to their years of longing and uncertainty.
