The high-voltage action drama Dacoit, led by Adivi Sesh, is steadily moving toward the finish line. The film, which marks the directorial debut of Shaniel Deo, features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and has already generated strong buzz with its raw tone and intense presentation.
The latest update from the makers confirms that Mrunal Thakur has officially completed her shoot, wrapping up an exhausting and action-packed schedule. The team marked the moment with a warm farewell, while also confirming that she will actively participate in the film’s promotions. Notably, Mrunal has lent her voice for the film in both Telugu and Hindi, adding authenticity to her character across versions.
Recently released, the teaser of Dacoit received an overwhelming response, instantly drawing attention to the film’s gritty world. A major highlight was Adivi Sesh’s striking transformation, where he appears in a rugged avatar, complete with a mass attitude and authentic Madanapalle slang, signaling a bold departure from his earlier roles.
Adding further weight to the project, acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap plays a key role, alongside a strong supporting cast that includes Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, and Sunil. The film is mounted on high production values, ensuring a visually and technically rich cinematic experience.
On the technical side, Danush Bhaskar handles the cinematography, while Bheems Ceciroleo composes the songs. The intense background score is crafted by Gyaani, complementing the film’s raw and grounded narrative.
Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang, Dacoit is presented by Annapurna Studios. The makers have locked March 19, 2026, for a grand theatrical release in Telugu and Hindi, aligning perfectly with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year.
With filming nearing completion and post-production underway, Dacoit is shaping up to be a hard-hitting action drama that promises intensity, realism, and powerful performances on the big screen.
