Nandamuri Balakrishna Bags Massive Remuneration for Key Role in ‘Jailer 2’

Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to join the cast of the highly anticipated sequel to Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The buzz surrounding Jailer 2 just got louder, as industry sources reveal that Balayya will be seen in a powerful and impactful role.

What’s more, the veteran actor is reportedly charging a staggering ₹50 crore for a 20-day shoot schedule. The film’s producers, Sun Pictures, are said to have agreed to the remuneration without hesitation, recognizing the value that Balakrishna brings to the table.

While Balakrishna’s role is technically a guest appearance, sources close to the production describe it as more substantial than a typical cameo. Director Nelson reportedly pitched a solid and gripping character, which immediately impressed Balayya. Fans can expect an intense on-screen presence from the Akhanda star that adds a new dimension to the film’s narrative.

Nelson, in a past interview, had expressed his desire to work with Balakrishna even during the making of the first Jailer film but couldn’t find the right fit for his character. Now, with Jailer 2, it seems everything has fallen into place.

Rajinikanth reprises his role as the formidable ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, alongside Ramya Krishnan as his wife Vijaya. Yogi Babu, Mirnaa Menon, and Vasanth Ravi are expected to return as well. There’s also speculation around other big stars making guest appearances, including a potential comeback by Shiva Rajkumar, who made a mark in the original.
