Pawan Kalyan’s “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” Delayed Again; New Release Targeted for July 2025
After years of anticipation, the period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, faces yet another delay. Initially set to hit the big screens on June 12, 2025, the film has now been pushed to July, with the team aiming for a July 4 release, according to insider sources.
The film, which began production nearly five years ago, has seen multiple postponements—largely due to Pawan Kalyan’s political engagements and subsequent scheduling hurdles. Though the actor recently wrapped up his portions, post-production issues—particularly unfinished VFX work—have once again disrupted the planned timeline.
An official confirmation regarding the new date is still awaited, but buzz suggests that the makers will soon unveil a new poster to announce the fresh release plan. The movie is produced by AM Rathnam, with reports indicating that the budget has crossed a whopping ₹200 crore, thanks in part to the prolonged production and the high-maintenance sets built in premium studio spaces.
Originally helmed by Krish, the directorial responsibilities were later taken over by Jyothi Krishna, Rathnam’s son, after Krish stepped away during the extended delays. Now, with the film completed, the team is preparing for a major marketing push.
Pawan Kalyan plays the titular role of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a heroic freedom fighter from Telugu history. Nidhhi Agerwal stars as the female lead, while Bobby Deol portrays the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, adding a powerful antagonist to the narrative. The soundtrack is composed by M.M. Keeravani, celebrated for his work on RRR.
In the digital space, Amazon Prime Video has bagged the streaming rights for a massive ₹52 crore, planning to make the film available by mid-August 2025.
A grand pre-release event is also said to be in the works, to be held in Hyderabad, where the team is expected to make the new date official and kickstart promotions in full swing.
Though fans will have to wait a little longer, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is finally nearing the finish line—and July 2025 is shaping up to be a blockbuster month.
