Shocking Allegations: Filmmaker Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao Accuses SS Rajamouli of Harassment Before Alleged Suicide

The film industry has been rocked by serious allegations made by filmmaker Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao against renowned director SS Rajamouli. In a video reportedly sent to the police before his alleged suicide, Srinivasa accused Rajamouli of mental torture and professional sabotage, claiming the director played a pivotal role in his struggles.
Srinivasa Rao’s Explosive Video Statement
In a video accessed by Big TV, Srinivasa addressed his grievances directly, blaming SS Rajamouli and Rama Rajamouli for his tragic decision. He stated, “India’s number one director, SS Rajamouli, is the reason for my suicide. You might think I am doing this for publicity, but this is my final letter.” The video and an accompanying letter were reportedly sent to Mettu Police Station, urging authorities to investigate.
Srinivasa, who claimed to have been close to Rajamouli since the 1990s, accused the filmmaker of betrayal over a personal matter. He alleged that Rajamouli pressured him to step away from a romantic relationship and later subjected him to harassment and humiliation.
A Fallout That Changed Everything?
The filmmaker revealed that his professional relationship with Rajamouli lasted until Yamadonga (2007). However, after the success of Rajamouli’s career skyrocketed, Srinivasa claimed he was left behind and continuously mistreated. He further alleged, “I am 55 years old and have lived a single life. He tortured me so much after he became a big shot.”
Demand for Investigation
Before his alleged suicide, Srinivasa demanded a lie detector test, insisting that several industry insiders, including MM Keeravaani, Chandrasekhar Yeleti, and Hanu Raghavapudi, were aware of his close bond with Rajamouli. His claims have sparked intense discussions in the film fraternity, raising questions about the unseen power dynamics and personal conflicts in the industry.
Awaiting Official Response
While the accusations have shocked the industry, there has been no official response from SS Rajamouli or his representatives. The police are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to verify the claims made in Srinivasa’s video.
This incident has once again highlighted the pressures and conflicts within the entertainment industry, with many urging for a fair and transparent probe into the matter.
