Siddhu Jonnalagadda on Telusu Kada: “Audiences Will Be Shocked — It’s a Film Like No Other!”

After delivering the massive pan-India blockbuster Mirai under People Media Factory, actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda is gearing up to captivate audiences once again with his next big release, Telusu Kada, hitting theatres on October 17th.
This musical romantic drama stars Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raashii Khanna in lead roles, directed by celebrated stylist-turned-director Neeraja Kona and produced by T.G. Viswa Prasad and Krithi Prasad.
The film’s songs have already become chartbusters, and the teaser has created major buzz, raising expectations sky-high. In a recent interaction with the media, Siddhu opened up about his role, the film’s unique concept, and his excitement for audiences to experience something “never seen before.”
“My Character Will Shock the Audience”
Siddhu shared that the story of Telusu Kada has been in development for quite some time:
“Neeraja Garu narrated the story almost one and a half years ago. I loved the idea instantly but wanted to refine the characterization. Since this is my next film after Tillu Square, I wanted the character to stand out. After several discussions and developments, we finalized the script and officially announced the project.”
Talking about his role, he added:
“My character, Varun, will surprise everyone. It’s bold, layered, and very different from what I’ve done before. He might look ordinary, but his thoughts are unpredictable. There’s humor, intensity, and depth, all packed into one character. I can confidently say audiences will be shocked by what they see.”
“Telusu Kada” — A Fresh Story with Strong Emotions
Addressing social media speculation about the trailer’s “bold” tone, Siddhu clarified:
“This is a completely original story. Nearly 80% of the scenes are new — unlike anything the audience has seen before. It talks about love, relationships, and family, but from a fresh and honest perspective. Neeraja Garu has written powerful roles — both Raashii’s and Srinidhi’s characters are strong, but mine challenges them in its own way.”
He further revealed that the film’s central concept is what truly convinced him to sign on:
“The core idea itself is fascinating. Everything you saw in the trailer will be in the film — except the Viva Harsha scene at the end. (Smiles)”
Dealing with Expectations After “Tillu”
With Tillu Square setting massive benchmarks, Siddhu admitted feeling both pressure and excitement:
“I have huge expectations from myself. I stay involved till the very last stage because I believe in owning what I do. Watching the final DTS mix, I felt thrilled — and I’m sure the audience will feel that same energy in theatres.”
A Hands-On Actor and Perfectionist
Known for his deep involvement in scripting and creative discussions, Siddhu spoke candidly about the challenges of multitasking:
“I get involved because no one used to write stories specifically for me, so I learned how to build characters. When producers like Viswa Garu trust me and say, ‘Do it because you love it,’ that motivates me to give my best.”
He laughed and added:
“When a film is a hit, everyone gets the credit. But if it fails, since I’m involved, I take the blame too! (Laughs) I wish I could just say my lines and relax in the caravan, but that’s not who I am.”
On Working with Neeraja Kona & the Team
Talking about collaborating with Neeraja Kona on her directorial debut, Siddhu said:
“Working with debut directors is risky, but that’s where innovation comes from. We made sure to surround her with an experienced team — People Media Factory producing, Thaman composing, and Naveen Nooli editing. Look at the visuals in the teaser — it doesn’t look like a newcomer’s film; it feels like a large-scale cinematic experience.”
He praised his co-stars, saying:
“Both Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty have powerful roles. Raashii, especially, will surprise everyone with her performance in the second half. My character takes a wild turn around 20–25 minutes into the movie — that’s when the real story begins.”
A Film That Redefines Love & Relationships
With its unique premise, fresh narrative, and musical brilliance, Telusu Kada promises to be one of the most refreshing love stories of the year. Combining Neeraja Kona’s aesthetic storytelling, Thaman’s soulful score, and Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s magnetic performance, the film is expected to create a new wave in romantic cinema.
Get ready to experience a modern take on love and identity when Telusu Kada hits screens on October 17, 2025.
