Tamannaah and Kajal Face Inquiry in Cryptocurrency Fraud Case

South Indian actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal are facing scrutiny in a cryptocurrency fraud case that has rocked the region. The Puducherry police are seeking to question the actresses regarding their alleged connection to a Coimbatore-based company accused of defrauding investors.

The company, launched in 2022, allegedly lured investors with promises of high returns on cryptocurrency investments. However, these promises turned out to be false, leading to substantial financial losses for numerous individuals, with some reportedly losing crores of rupees.

Tamannaah’s link to the case stems from her presence at the company’s launch event, while Kajal attended a separate corporate event where top investors were rewarded. The police are investigating the extent of their involvement, seeking to determine whether they were simply endorsing the events or had a deeper financial stake in the company.

Initial findings reveal that investors from Puducherry alone have suffered losses exceeding Rs. 2.4 crores, with one retired government employee claiming to have been cheated out of Rs. 40 crores.

While the actresses have yet to release official statements, this case has raised concerns about the due diligence involved in celebrity endorsements and the potential risks associated with such ventures.

Looking Ahead:

Despite this controversy, both Tamannaah and Kajal have busy schedules. Tamannaah recently attended the grand teaser launch of her Telugu film “Odela 2” at the Maha Kumbh 2025, while Kajal is set to appear in the Salman Khan-starrer “Sikandar” and will also make a cameo appearance as Devi Parvati in Vishnu Manchu’s “Kannappa.”

The outcome of the police investigation remains to be seen, and it will undoubtedly have significant implications for the actresses and the broader issue of celebrity endorsements in the financial sector.
