The much-awaited emotional entertainer Thammudu, starring Nithiin and directed by Sriram Venu, is all set to hit theatres worldwide on July 4. Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the prestigious Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the film promises a fresh concept, rich emotions, and a heartfelt cinematic experience.

The trailer launch event took place in Hyderabad amidst fanfare, with the team expressing confidence and excitement about the film’s release.

A Film That Will Set a New Benchmark – Dil Raju

Speaking at the event, producer Dil Raju emphasized the uniqueness of the project, stating, “Thammudu isn’t like any other sibling sentiment film; it’s a fresh and original take. Director Sriram Venu has worked on this story for over four years and has poured his heart into crafting a film with rich visuals and deep emotional depth. I believe this will become a reference point in its genre.”

He also shared the challenges faced during production, from visual demands to budget constraints. “At one point, Venu even offered to forgo his fee to support the film, and Nithiin too graciously agreed to adjust. Their commitment to the story is inspiring.”

Director Sriram Venu’s Emotional Tribute

Director Sriram Venu, known for his emotional storytelling in MCA and Vakeel Saab, described Thammudu as his most personal film yet. “This film draws inspiration from the women in my life – my mother, sister, daughter, and wife. The emotional thread running through Thammudu is deeply rooted in real feelings.”

He revealed that while the film is packed with commercial elements, its presentation is fresh and unique. “This is not like my previous works. It’s a film where every character, scene, and moment carries meaning. Nithiin stood by me from day one and gave me complete creative freedom.”

Nithiin’s Most Emotional Role to Date

Actor Nithiin, who plays the lead role, expressed his excitement and pride. “From the moment I heard the story, I knew this was special. Most of the shoot happened in challenging forest locations, and the entire team gave their all. This is also the highest-budget film in my career, and I truly hope it becomes a memorable success.”

Laya’s Grand Comeback After Two Decades

Actress Laya, making her return to Telugu cinema after 20 years, shared how Thammudu helped her rediscover her love for acting. “I had my doubts about coming back, but this team made me feel right at home. Playing such a pivotal role alongside Nithiin was a joy. This film gave me the kind of meaningful comeback I was hoping for.”

Telugu Debut for Sapthami Gowda

Actress Sapthami Gowda, best known for Kantara, makes her Telugu debut in Thammudu. “I play a character named Ratna, and although I don’t share many scenes with the rest of the cast, my role is crucial. This is my third collaboration with music director Ajaneesh, and the BGM in the trailer says it all.”

Young Talent and Strong Supporting Cast

Child artist Baby Deetya, who plays a role with her own name, stole hearts at the event with her sweet words. “Everyone on set treated me like family. Nithiin sir was especially kind.”

Swasika VJ, playing a significant role, said, “This is a major opportunity in my career. I’m thankful to the team for trusting me with such a strong character.”

Technically Superior with Emotional Depth

Cinematographer K.V. Guhan, editor Prawin Pudi, and music director Ajaneesh Loknath were all praised for their outstanding contributions. Guhan noted the visual richness, while Ajaneesh’s haunting background score elevated the trailer’s impact.

Editor Prawin Pudi added, “This is a special film under Dil Raju garu’s banner. The performances, the narrative, and the technical craft make it a project we’re proud of.”

A Tribute to Pawan Kalyan

The film’s title Thammudu is also a tribute to Pawan Kalyan, with Nithiin, Sriram Venu, and Dil Raju all being ardent fans of the actor. “Nithiin has that quality of putting the film above himself, just like Pawan Kalyan garu,” said Venu.

Releasing July 4 – A Theatrical Experience Worth Waiting For

With overwhelming positive response to the trailer, the makers are confident that Thammudu will resonate deeply with audiences. Dil Raju concluded, “In today’s climate, drawing crowds to theatres is no small feat. But Thammudu is a film made with sincerity, and if content is king, this film will surely reign.”

Mark your calendars – Thammudu releases worldwide on July 4, promising heart, emotion, and a story that celebrates sibling bonds like never before.
