“The film industry fed me, and I will stand by the producer who believed in me” – Power Star Pawan Kalyan at the ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ Press Meet

Power Star Pawan Kalyan, addressing a press meet for his much-awaited film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Telugu film industry and especially to producer A.M. Rathnam, who stood by him during challenging times.
He said, “The film industry gave me food, and I will always support the producer who believed in me.”
🗓️ About the Film
Hari Hara Veera Mallu is an upcoming period action drama where Pawan Kalyan plays a warrior who fights for dharma. Directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi, the film is produced by A. Dayakar Rao under the Mega Surya Productions banner, presented by A.M. Rathnam. Featuring Nidhhi Agerwal and Bobby Deol in key roles, the movie is set to release on July 24.
The film has already generated massive buzz with its teaser, posters, and especially the trailer, which has doubled the expectations among fans and cine-goers.
🎤 Pawan Kalyan’s Speech Highlights
Pawan Kalyan explained, “I usually don’t speak much about films in public. I’m more comfortable doing the work than promoting it. I didn’t become an actor or technician intentionally — it just happened. I don’t speak about my films due to ego or arrogance, but because it’s difficult for me. However, I held this press meet for A.M. Rathnam garu. This film needs to live and breathe.”
He added that the movie faced several challenges, including two waves of COVID-19, financial and creative struggles. “Even when I shifted my focus completely to politics, Rathnam garu came to me with this story and reignited my passion for cinema. I gave it my best,” said Pawan Kalyan.
He mentioned that he shot the climax for over 57 days during the peak summer month of May and even utilized his long-learned martial arts skills. “This movie’s soul lies in its climax,” he said.
📽️ About the Story
Set against the banks of the Krishna River in Kolluru, the story revolves around the fictional journey of the Kohinoor diamond from its origin to its possession by the Hyderabad Sultans. Krish Jagarlamudi laid the foundation for this concept, and Pawan Kalyan instantly agreed to do the film.
“Rathnam garu is a man who brought regional cinema to the national level. I’ve seen how he supported talent without bias and contributed immensely to our industry,” he said. He also shared how Rathnam garu’s contributions during Khushi and other films made lasting impacts.
He praised M.M. Keeravani for supporting the project musically and Jyothi Krishna for taking over direction with dedication and clarity, even when there were rumors the film wouldn’t be completed.
Pawan added, “I don’t usually talk about films, but I felt it was necessary now. I left my political responsibilities for a few hours because cinema is my foundation, and Rathnam garu deserves support.”
He also revealed that he proposed A.M. Rathnam’s name for the Film Development Corporation Chairman role to CM Chandrababu Naidu, not because he’s his producer, but because of his industry service and leadership.
🎬 Jyothi Krishna’s Words
Director Jyothi Krishna said, “The media has long waited to hear from Pawan Kalyan garu about a film. His presence here is a joy to us all. One action sequence he designed spans over 20 minutes — it’s not just a fight, but a story in itself. It took Keeravani garu ten days to compose for that single episode. The fire in Pawan garu’s eyes helped us shape Dharma Kosam Yuddham.”
“This is a 17th-century tale set during the Mughal era, showing a fictional war between Aurangzeb and the character Veera Mallu. Since I took up this project, I haven’t rested for even a second. My father’s determination and Pawan Kalyan garu’s fire in his eyes kept me going,” he added.
He also thanked Manoj Paramahamsa and his entire team for working tirelessly on the film.
💬 Nidhhi Agerwal’s Comments
Lead actress Nidhhi Agerwal shared, “It’s an honor to act alongside Pawan Kalyan garu. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a very special film in my career. I thank A.M. Rathnam garu for this opportunity and Jyothi Krishna for shaping this film so beautifully. I’m confident audiences will love it.”
