The Godfather Trilogy Returns to PVR INOX in 4K Remastered Glory

Cinema lovers in India are in for a treat as the 4K restored version of the legendary The Godfather Trilogy is set to re-release at select PVR INOX theatres across the country.

According to the multiplex chain’s official announcement, the screening dates are as follows:

  • The Godfather (1972) – September 12
  • The Godfather Part II (1974) – October 17
  • The Godfather Part III (1990) – November 14

Promoted as a “cinematic revival”, the trilogy will be showcased under PVR INOX’s Curated Shows, giving audiences a rare chance to revisit Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece on the big screen.

Starring Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Richard Castellano, and Diane Keaton, the epic saga is based on Mario Puzo’s bestselling novel and follows the powerful Italian-American mafia family of Don Vito Corleone. The story shifts focus to his youngest son Michael Corleone, whose reluctant entry into the world of organized crime leads to betrayal, power struggles, and a tragic descent into darkness.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest trilogies in world cinema, the films redefined storytelling, performances, and filmmaking craft, making them timeless classics.

Speaking about the re-release, Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist at PVR INOX Ltd., shared:

“This is the first time Indian audiences will experience The Godfather Trilogy on the big screen in such close succession. For younger cinephiles, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover the brilliance of The Godfather. For long-time admirers, it’s like welcoming back an old friend.”
