Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are set to reunite on-screen for a new film directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. This marks their third collaboration after the successes of “Geetha Govindam” and “Dear Comrade.”

The upcoming project, tentatively titled “VD14,” is a period drama that delves into India’s colonial history. Vijay Deverakonda is expected to portray dual roles as a father and son, a first in his career. The film’s production commenced with a pooja ceremony on Republic Day, January 26, 2025.

While Rashmika Mandanna’s involvement has been hinted at through social media interactions, an official confirmation is awaited. The film is slated to begin shooting in June 2025, following the release of Vijay Deverakonda’s current project, “Kingdom,” on May 30.
