Vijay Deverakonda Stands in Solidarity with Kashmir: “Kashmir Belongs to Us, and So Do Its People”

As the nation mourns and condemns the recent tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, actor Vijay Deverakonda has made a strong and heartfelt statement expressing solidarity with the people of the region.

Speaking at the pre-release event of Retro, starring Suriya, where he appeared as the chief guest, Vijay’s comments on Kashmir have since gone viral across social media platforms.

Sharing his emotional connection, Vijay said, “Kashmir is ours, and its people are ours too. I had the privilege of filming ‘Kushi’ in Kashmir, and the memories I made there are truly unforgettable. The people are incredibly warm and kind.”

He further expressed confidence that “the citizens of Pakistan will eventually stand up and correct their own government, which is fueling unrest and terrorism in Kashmir.” Vijay also conveyed his deep condolences to the victims affected by the violence.

Concluding his speech on a powerful note, he stressed the importance of education as a tool for change and peace.
