Vishwak Sen Unveils His Next Directorial Venture ‘#CULT’ – A Gritty Multilingual Thriller Inspired by Real Incidents

Young actor-filmmaker Vishwak Sen is back in the director’s chair with his third directorial, intriguingly titled #CULT. The film was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony at Ramanaidu Studios, and the event was graced by veteran producer Allu Aravind, who sounded the first clap for the project. Shooting commenced immediately after the formal launch.

Backed by producers Karate Raju and Sandeep Kakarala under the banners of Tarak Cinemas and Vanmaye Creations, #CULT is touted to be a “new-age party thriller” rooted in shocking real-life events. The concept, while under wraps, promises a dark and gripping narrative woven around contemporary themes and psychological intensity.

Vishwak Sen himself has penned the story, while acclaimed filmmaker Tharun Bhascker has come on board to craft the dialogues, hinting at a fresh and edgy screenplay. The technical crew features top talents including KGF fame Ravi Basrur as the music composer and Arvind Vishwanathan handling cinematography, signaling high production values.

The first-look poster, revealed at the launch, teases a chaotic party scene with a mysterious masked figure at the center—setting a suspenseful tone that’s piqued curiosity. While the makers are keeping the cast details under wraps for now, the buzz around the project is already palpable.

What makes #CULT particularly ambitious is its multilingual approach. The film is being simultaneously made in Telugu, Hindi, English, Japanese, and Spanish, signaling Vishwak Sen’s vision to cater to a global audience with a story that transcends cultural borders.

With such a unique premise and cross-cultural appeal, #CULT is shaping up to be one of the most unconventional thrillers to come out of Indian cinema. More details are expected to be announced soon as the shoot progresses.
