Actor Vishwak Sen has once again made headlines, but this time for an unfortunate incident. His residence in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, was targeted in a major burglary on March 16, with reports confirming that jewelry and cash worth Rs 2.2 lakh were stolen.
Details of the Incident
According to reports from M9 News, the intruder entered through the third-floor bedroom of Vishwak Sen’s sister, who was asleep at the time. Upon waking up, she discovered her room ransacked and valuables missing.
CCTV footage captured the burglar inside the house for about 20 minutes before escaping undetected. Police suspect that the thief might be someone familiar with the house, given how efficiently he navigated the premises. Vishwak Sen’s father has lodged a formal complaint, and an investigation is currently underway.
Vishwak Sen’s Career and Recent Setback
Apart from the burglary, Vishwak Sen has been in the news for his film Laila, which turned out to be a box office disaster. Despite the actor promoting it as one of his most ambitious projects, audiences criticized the weak plot and performances, leading to its failure. Following the backlash, the actor took to social media to issue a public apology, vowing to come back stronger.
After its disappointing theatrical run, Laila premiered on Amazon Prime Video, but the reception remained largely negative.
