War 2: YRF Locks Release Date for Hrithik Roshan & NTR’s Spy Action Thriller

The wait is finally over! War 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster 2019 spy thriller War, is all set to hit theaters worldwide on August 14, 2025—just in time for Independence Day celebrations.

On Sunday morning, Yash Raj Films made the big announcement via their official X handle, putting an end to recent speculation about a possible delay due to Hrithik Roshan’s injury during a dance rehearsal.

The sequel marks the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, following the success of films like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023).

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 promises to be an adrenaline-pumping spectacle featuring the powerhouse duo of Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood sensation NTR Jr.. Adding to the excitement, Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor also have pivotal roles in this high-octane action entertainer.
