Yash Joins Forces with Mad Max’s Guy Norris for Ramayana Action Sequences — First Look Revealed

In what is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Indian films to date, Ramayana has kicked off a monumental phase of its production — and it comes with a powerhouse collaboration. Rocking Star Yash, known for his intense screen presence and creative drive, has officially begun filming for the mythological epic, with acclaimed stunt director Guy Norris — the man behind Mad Max: Fury Road and The Suicide Squad — choreographing the film’s jaw-dropping action.
Backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and co-produced by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana aims to blend Indian mythology with Hollywood-level action design, cutting-edge VFX, and cinematic scale never before seen in Indian cinema.
Yash as Ravana: A New Action Benchmark
Yash is stepping into the role of Ravana, and early glimpses from the sets promise a transformative performance. The actor appears in top form — lean, muscular, and fierce — ready to redefine the antagonist’s portrayal in Indian mythology. The action blocks being shot are nothing short of massive, with Guy Norris currently in India leading the charge on the ground, designing high-octane, choreographed mayhem that places Yash at the center of some of the film’s most explosive sequences.
Yash is expected to shoot for approximately 60 to 70 days for Ramayana Part 1, and is not just acting but playing a hands-on role as co-producer, contributing creatively and strategically at every stage.
Mythology Meets Global Spectacle
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana isn’t just a retelling — it’s a reinvention meant to take Indian storytelling to a global level. The film features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role of Lord Rama, while the rest of the ensemble cast is expected to be revealed in phases. The combination of Hollywood expertise, a legendary narrative, and top Indian talent positions Ramayana as a game-changer in the mythological genre.
Release Plans
The film will unfold as a multi-part cinematic event, with Ramayana Part 1 slated to hit screens on Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 on Diwali 2027.
This collaboration between Indian cinema’s most bankable star and a globally renowned action director sets the stage for a project that may very well change how mythological epics are imagined — not just in India, but across the world.
